    A stingless bee, Melipona sp., in Panama drinks my nutrient-dense perspiration through my mesh shorts. At one point I was covered with more than thirty of these thirsty creatures.
    A foundress paper wasp (Polistinae: probably Agelaia sp.) builds a nest in Panama. If you look closely, you can see the larvae occupying the cells!
    The one and only bullet ant, Paraponera clavata (Panama), widely considered the insect with the most painful sting in the world.
