Plant bug (Miridae, probably Helopeltis theivora) with exceptionally long antennae from Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Stink bug nymph (Pentatomidae) from Monteverde, Costa Rica.
An annual cicada (Neotibicen sp.) deposits her eggs under the bark of a young tree in Iowa. Upon hatching, the nymphs burrow underground, where they will feed on root sap until the following year when they re-emerge and molt into their winged adult form.
